1、Introduction of Y-type filter

2、Y-type filter testing principle

Bubble point method test principle: when the filter membrane and filter element are completely wetted with a certain solution, and then pressurized by the gas source on one side (there is an air inlet control system inside the instrument, which can stabilize the pressure and adjust the air inlet), as the pressure increases, the gas is released from one side of the filter membrane, and bubbles of different sizes and numbers appear on one side of the performance membrane, and the corresponding pressure value is the bubble point judged by the instrument.

Diffusion flow method test principle: diffusion flow test is when the gas pressure is at 80% of the cartridge bubble point value, when there is not yet a large amount of gas perforated through the hole, only a small amount of gas first dissolved in the liquid phase of the membrane, and then diffused from that liquid phase to the other side of the gas phase, which is called diffusion flow.

Why is the diffusion flow method better? The bubbling point value is only a qualitative value, from the beginning of bubbling to the *** after the group bubbling is a relatively long process, can not be accurately quantified. While measuring the diffusion flow value is a quantitative value, not only can accurately determine the integrity of the filter, but also can reflect the membrane porosity, flow rate and effective filtration area, which is why foreign manufacturers are now using the diffusion flow method to test the integrity.

Water intrusion method testing principle: The water intrusion method is dedicated to the testing of hydrophobic filter elements. The hydrophobic membrane resists water, and the smaller the pore size, the greater the pressure needed to squeeze water into the hydrophobic membrane. Therefore, under a certain pressure, the water flow squeezed into the membrane is measured to determine the pore size of the cartridge.
